How to input/output Chinese in English Windows
Is this ever happen to you? If you use an English version windows, most likely you will be involved with this kind of problem. So how to fix these corrupt codes? Here is how.
Step 1: Enable Asian language support.
1. click start button,then click control panel
2. click date, time, language, and regional option
3. click regional and language options
4. click the language tab, under Supplemental language support section, there is a checkbox “install files for fast asian languages”. If its unchecked, check it. you will need windows CD in this phase.
5. click the advanced tab, change the pull down menu to Chinese(PRC)
Then click OK. restart your computer.
Now your system will display Chinese perfectly.
Step 2: input Chinese
1. After East Asian Languages pack is installed, click “Details” button under the Languages tab of Regional and Language Options.
2. On the Settings tab of the new window, Click Add.
- In the “Input language” list, select Chinese (PRC) for simplified characters. You can add other input languages as well
- In the same window, from the “Keyboard Layout/IME” list, select:
- Chinese (PRC)- Chinese (Simplified) – Microsoft Pinyin IME 3.0 for Simplified Chinese input.
These are the basic phoenic input methods where you enter pronunciations to obtain characters.
- Click Apply
3. Check old post for google Chinese input
Now you can input Chinese in your Windows. Enjoy your typing!
