I did three months of volunteering at a middle school on Yangma Island, which is about one hour east of Yantai City. I signed up through Global Volunteer Network and I later found out that all they did was refer my application to Sinocultre Exchange.

I believe most other international volunteer placement groups with opportunities in Yantai will just refer your application to Sinoculture, so I recommend you contact them directly.
